Watch Sony's IFA 2019 event live: Xperia 2 and others expected to take the stage

Last year at IFA Sony unveiled the Xperia XZ3 and the well-loved WH-1000XM3 headphones that were so often paired with Sony pre-order deals. That goes to say that we have big expectations for today’s event – and if you do too, you’ll want to watch it live.

Given the number of leaks, the Sony Xperia 2 is certain to appear on stage. Sony’s teaser leading up to the event hinted at a small phone, which lines up with the rumors. We may see the rebirth of the Xperia Compact series under a new name (which may not be “Xperia 2”, according to last-minute leaks).

What else can we expect? A pair of Xperia 20 phones, the next generation of mid-rangers, seems likely. We’ve seen renders, leaked cases and an FCC certification.

A new pair of headphones isn’t out of the question either. At the very least there should be an appearance of Sony’s WF-1000XM3, the truly wireless noise canceling earbuds.
