Watch the Nokia 9 PureView unveiling at MWC

Yordan, 24 February 2019

Update: The Nokia 9 PureView was finally announced as the first device with five cameras on the back. HMD Global also introduced three affordable smartphones and one feature phone, wrapping the tally up to five.

Original story follows: The day before the MWC 2019 is loaded with announcements. First, it was the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, followed by the foldable Huawei Mate X. Now it is time for the HMD Global event, where we expect to see the Nokia 9 PureView with five cameras on the live stream Nokia provided for all its fans.

We’ve been hearing about a Nokia flagship with five cameras in a circular setup for a long time, but at the end of 2018, a promo video leaked, revealing all key specs of the smartphone. It will have Snapdragon 845, under-display fingerprint scanner and tall screen with regular bezels.

However, the selling point is the five-camera setup on the back, and we can’t wait to see what HMD Global has up its sleeve.

Thanks to an Android Enterprise listing and FCC certification, we know Nokia 1 Plus is also to be introduced. It will be ultra-affordable handset and likely Android Pie (Go Edition) out of the box.

The event begins at 16:00 CET and we are already at the venue, so stay around for the latest news and hands-on impressions.
