Week 12 in review: Poco duo, OnePlus 9 series, Realme 8 and vivo X60 debut
Week 12 of 2021 was one of the most action-packed in recent memory with two dozen smartphone announcement and a bunch of spicy leaks.
Poco brought its F3 flagship and X3 Pro mid-ranger, while OnePlus announced its most numerous flagship line to date with the 9R, 9 and 9 Pro.
Realme had its own announcement for the 8 series, while vivo started the global rollout of its X60 series.
Black Shark 4 series went official as well as the Motorola G50 and G100, while Qualcomm debuted a new platform - the 780G - combining upper mid-range performance with flaghsip modem.
The final major storyline was Xiaomi confirming its event for tomorrow, March 29 and giving a few clues as to what we might expect at it. The Mi 11 Pro, Ultra and Lite are coming alongside a new Mi Band and an in-house chip. The "mega launch" description by the company is certainly not an overstatement.
