Weekly poll results: Huawei Mate 9 gets the love, Porsche Design too

Huawei unveiled two Mate 9 flagships - one with a 5.9” screen and a special edition Porsche Design with a 5.5” screen. Surprisingly, both models got a positive response.

“Surprisingly” because the Porsche Design costs double what the base edition does - a steep price, but it it is a beautiful phone. The dual-curved screen definitely helps, even more so because it’s an AMOLED with QHD resolution (compared to the 5.9” LCD with 1080p resolution).

There was a strong contingent of fans of other brands, but the 5.9” Huawei Mate 9 won and the limited edition followed closely behind.

Before you plunk down that much cash though, there were some rumors that there will be a 5.5” AMOLED version without the Porsche Design brand - that hasn’t materialized yet, but we can only imagine it will be a good deal cheaper. The Mate S needs a successor, right?
