Weekly poll results: Poco M4 Pro 5G's success is contingent on a lower price

The Poco fanbase is price sensitive – that €50 price hike on the Poco M4 Pro 5G was not a popular move among the voters in last week’s poll. Sure, the phone brings some upgrades over the 6-month old model it is replacing, but the Poco M-series shouldn’t fly above its allotted price range.
The M4 Pro did and it clashed with the Poco X3 Pro, the X-series being higher end than the M. This isn’t the first time a company’s rich (or crowded) product lineup causes internal conflicts like this.
Looking at the poll and the comments, the phone received only a 20% positive vote, which grows to just over 50% with the following condition – the Poco M4 Pro must be bought at the early bird prices, which are €30 lower than the regular prices, mostly canceling out the price hike.
So, there is hope yet, the phone’s popularity will rise once the prices start to drop. The Poco X3 Pro started at €250 back in March, but can be found closer to €200 these days.
While success isn’t out of reach, some raised issues with the Poco M4 Pro that weren’t about the price. For example, the switch to a Dimensity 810 (from Dimensity 700) isn’t a major upgrade in performance.
Also, there were questions about the new 50 MP sensor in the main camera that replaced the 48 MP 1/2.0” sensor of the previous model. Well, we’ve completed our review of the M4 Pro, so have a look at that for an examination of image quality and other questions about the phone’s performance.

It's not about the price; it's because of your proprietary OS that's not fully supported by Google.
