What do you do with a bunch of old Galaxies and iPhones? Wreck them of course

There are very few topics that are as divisive as phone torture tests. Some people find them interesting and/or informative while others are utterly repulsed by them.

We can't say we enjoy seeing phones that were created with so much thought, engineering and effort be subjected to useless violence but in the case of the video below, there's somewhat of an interesting purpose - to see which phones were made better - Galaxies or iPhones. The video, by 'The King of Random' on YouTube pits a bunch of older Samsung Galaxy S phones against a bunch of older iPhones and proceeds to drop them, burn them, break them by means of weights on a steel rope and even dunk them into liquid hydrogen.

It's an interesting video, if not overly scientific. Here it goes.

Why don't you hand them over, intact, to be recycled? You can drop the Apple product at Apple Store or mail them back and others at Best Buy. They will be disassembled and properly recycled. Smashing them into pieces make recycling almost impossible ...

The epitome of American wastefulness, arrogance, and consumerism in one short video. Only in Amurrica!
