Windows 11 expected to arrive October 20
Microsoft unveiled Windows 11 last week but it only said that the OS is coming "this holiday", which wasn't too specific.
But a closer look at a few images of Windows 11 strongly points to October as the month Microsoft will roll out the OS.
The screenshot below shows a Microsoft Teams message from Stevie Bathiche of the Surface Team to Microsoft's head of Windows and devices, Panos Panay, saying "can't wait for October!".
And the official promo materials from Microsoft on the Windows 11 website feature the date October 20 in the taskbar.
Even Walmart seems to know something we don't, because it has listed a "Free Upgrade to Windows October 2021" and "Upgrade rollout plan is being finalized and is scheduled to begin late in 2021 and continue into 2022" on some of the laptops it's selling.

With all the fuss about installing Win11 Beta at this time (August 2021), and when the early downloadable release arrives, it's really better to wait until support for Win10 is close to ending *before* getting a new Win11 computer. By that time...
