The ScanWatch is fitted with a medical-grade electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor which monitors your heartbeat constantly and can detect irregular heartbeats which are a symptom of arrhythmia. Another major feature is the built-in Sp02 sensor which contentiously tracks blood oxygen levels and can identify sleep apnea risks in advance. The rest of the ScanWatch features are pretty similar to previous offerings from the brand.

The watch itself features analog dials with a small PMOLED display which shows notifications and all health and fitness tracking information. It features a water-resistant stainless steel case protected by sapphire glass and will be available in 38mm and 42mm sizes. The watch can also track over 30 sports activities.

In terms of connectivity, you get Bluetooth LE but no GPS - the watch can use your phone’s GPS receiver instead. The watch is compatible with any Android 6.0 and up or iOS 12 and later devices. Battery life is rated at 30 days and a full charge via the proprietary charging dock takes around 2 hours.

The Withings ScanWatch is expected to hit US and European markets in Q2 this year. The 38mm version will go for $250/€250 while the larger 42mm one will set buyers back $300/€300.
