      What's a better choice, the Moto Edge+ 2023 (512GB/8GB) or the OnePlus 12R (256GB/16GB)? Both are $599 on Amazon.

Gaia, 24 Feb 2024Finally sold my Oneplus 10T and moved to this one. Got it y... moreAfter one month owning this device as my daily driver, I can comment more things about it. I still think the screen quality is impressive, the quality of materials is excellent, and the dual speakers are awesome. I got Android 14 a few days after getting it. The difference with Android 13 are almost not existent, but I still love the Motorola UI, which is almost identical to stock Android. The device doesn't get warm unless I play games or transfer big files (512GB is a blessing!).

The only cons I found so far is the back glass. I can confirm the back is extremely slippery! In the pictures it looked textured, like the back of the Oneplus 10/10T, but I was wrong. If you have sweaty hands, then it's gonna be a big problem, so better get a case. Face unlock is a hit or miss if there isn't so much light. The battery life isn't so impressive despite the 5100 mAh battery. I came from a Oneplus 10T and I'm getting the exact same battery life I had with the Oneplus. According to Accubattery, battery life is at 96%, so I guess the extra mAh don't make a big difference.

Other than that, I haven't found weird issues reported, like random restarts or camera focus issues. Not sure if those were issues fixed with updates, but mine behaves as expected. I don't care at all about curved screens, so that part is okay for me. In my opinion, I don't regret getting this one instead of a Oneplus 11/12R (I know these have better camera setup, but the lack of a proper wired desktop mode is a deal breaker for me. Motorola Ready for rocks!)

Juni, 06 Mar 2024Do you would consider an upgrade getting this phone coming ... moreYes, it is. I had the Pixel 6a, and I'm now using the Moto Edge+ as my daily driver. The battery life is quite good, performance is solid, and the camera quality is better than I'd expected. I do wish I had the photo editing features that a Pixel has (it's a paid subscription from Google for the locked features, and I'm not paying for that), but the photo quality is good enough to say it's a definite keeper. Great phone...

Finally sold my Oneplus 10T and moved to this one. Got it yesterday for $325 in great condition, and I'm happy to be back to a mostly-pure android stock experience with the moto custom gestures (Seriously, all phones should come with the double shake gesture to turn on the flashlight). So far it works as expected. No overheating unless running a game, and the camera exceeded my expectations (UW and Tele are waay better than my 10T that didn't even came a tele lens). I'm really loving this one. It feels premium, unlike my past two phones (10T and Moto Edge+ 2022). Glad to return to Moto!

SuperSpruce, 22 Jan 2024I'd really like to see a battery test on this phone.I haven't tested the battery in any "strict" way, but I've had Accubattery running in the background since I received it in October (and I'm on it probably twice as much as the average person per day, but I do usually keep the charge between 20/80% so my 4months of "hard" use might not have impacted the battery as much as it would have affected others), and at least according to what it currently reports (don't know how accurate it is), it says that there's 15hr4m of screen on time and 4D1hr screen off time at full charge. And just to add, my last charge was 10%-53% in 20mins (128.1%/hr) with the screen on for the full duration, if you care about the charging speed.

I'd really like to see a battery test on this phone.

What are these weird names Motorola?? Huh?

You guys ran out of ideas there in China?

Why didin't you just release the X40 / 40 Pro worldwide?

Other than customizations and OS system updates, this phone is the best alternative to the Samsung flagship.
Motorola has definitely step up its game with this model.
                                    Congrats....

Warning: If you buy this from Motorola.ca, the Canadian Retail model, it does not appear to support eSIM.
