Try the poco x3 gt and then your camparison woud make some sense.
                    Yes, snapdragon is better especially in isp, but still mediatek is not terrible.

                        With same chipset, Mediatek 920 as in Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro yet a decrease in Battery capacity from 5160 mah to 4500 mah in 11i ...??

                            The redmi note 8 pro has proper customer ROM support as what really matters is the popularity of the device to motivate developers

                            There are Vivo Snapdragon phones where it's impossible to get custom ROMs...

                                    I also have a had experience with mediatek my first smartphone was an oukitel wp5 pro which was horrific in many ways but one of the most acute was it's helio p22 which had abhorrently slow graphics and tons off issues apps wouldn't load would randomly freak out and it was also terribly performing now texting from a Poco f3 far nicer go Snapdragon

                                      There's hardly any new phones nowadays that support custom ROM.
                                      You'll have to get used to it.
