Hopeful... moreHi, I was thinking about buying this model but I saw that this processor heats up a lot not only on Xiaomi but also on Samsung and Xperia 5iv. I don't think you can condemn the brand just because a model went wrong. I'm looking for a compact cell phone but it's difficult. I was a Samsung fan and I'm also disappointed and the most serious thing is that you pay a lot for a top of the range product and it comes with problems.

No issue, fast n without temperature issues too. So far, all good for my usage

My personal experience with my Xiaomi 12 for almost 1 year now maintain 8 hours Screen on Time. All and all morning 100% till night time still got 15-20% battery

I have a Xiaomi 12, with 12 Gb and 256. The phone is great in everything, but the battery leaves something to be desired, the autonomy is small, despite being quick to recharge, the discharge is also very good. To try to increase it, I leave the smartphone in airplane mode for longer, which is not very interesting. I'm thinking about buying the Xiaomi 13, which in tests, has greater autonomy.

Affirmative no infrared next to selfie camera. It's just selfie camera alone with virtual proximity sensor and speaker on top

My personal opinion, RAM 8GB is sufficient enough for daily driver. Gamers might need RAM 12 to 16GB, especially heavy duty and high graphics games

For Xiaomi smartphone since Mi Note 4x and you are somehow correct. I feel older Xiaomi products better quality than current flagship especially on built quality and design

It is hard to say this for me but I have given up on Xiaomi.
I have been a die hard Xioami fan for a long time and personally bought more then 10 phones for me and my family.
For me it was
Mi 5
Mi 5s
Mi 8
Mi 12
For my family it was
Mi 8SE
Mi 9 lite
Mi 9
Redmi 8 pro
Redmi 11 lite
Apart from phones I have a lot of household appliances, TV box, air purifier, robot cleaner, drill set... All Xiaomi.
I used to buy all of those products knowing the quality would the expectations for the price.
But boy, oh boy. I could never imagine that their flagship "12" would be such garbage.
Xiaomi flagship phones were never polished compared to the competition, when Mi 8 came out there were no notifications for a year, 9 had a lot of bugs too but at least those were cheap.
Last year in June (2022) I bought Xioami 12 and sent mi 8 to the retirement.
I was disappointed immediately.
The phone has a serious issue with overheating. And the issue does not just reflect heat but the phone is laggy and buggy to the point it us unusable.
I bought Galaxy Watch 5 and the connection between the 2 are just crazy. Phone won't stay connected. The battery is awful. Glitches with the screen happen all the time. video lags, stabilization is garbage, the camera is mediocre...
If you are using a navigation for example and get a message on whatsapp for example. It will take a minute to read it...
Recently I had a chance to use s23 for 5 days and I can tell you. That Samsung software I run away from 8 years ago is light years ahead today. One of my collages from work for has an iPhone XS and while on a trip recently I got a chance to use that phone while traveling next to mine phone.
That phone - even though it is 5 years old is miles faster than my 12.
So after some thinking and considering 13 it is a not from me. I will pay extra and go for Samsung or maybe even Apple. It is better to pay more and have a decent phone than to think you have a flagship but actually a malfunctioning product.

I am so disappointed. I've used Mi flagship phones since 2015 and this is the worst one yet. Camera can never focus. Makes photos half blurry. Video lags, video stabilizer is absolutely horrid, battery is drained super fast. Overall 2/10.

Just to share following information so people say 12+3GB RAM instead of 15GB
RAM
It means it has 12GB of actual RAM and 3GB virtual RAM (convert from ROM). If you don't know, virtual RAM is using some of phone ROM convert to RAM.
For example, in this phone use 3GB of the 256GB ROM and turn them to RAM so to have 12+3GB RAM and 253GB ROM.
But virtual RAM is not as good as actual RAM

Poco F5 with mid-high chipset, good performance and no temperature issue
