I used xiaomi12 before, but its processing performance and heat treatment performance, mainly for gaming, are exceptionally good. Along with this, the battery life is also good. The performance of 8+gen1 is amazing. Cameras supervised by Leica with relatively large sensors also make shooting fun. I think it's a masterpiece because of its size, but it's a shame that it's a very minor model.

Xiaomi 12S does have a memory slot. If you had a memory card in the last phone, it works fine. But the file manager does not interact as it did in older devices

The 8+ Gen1 in the 12S series should do much better, so therefore I'd say go for the 12S if everything else matches your expectations.

Got a used Xiaomi 12s for around USD 200, and flashed it with Xiaomi.eu rom. Most incredible value ever, flawless screen, excellent camera with the Leica camera tweaks. Plays everything under the sun on Android with no problems, great battery life, and 67W charging is fast, plug it in at 25% in the morning, make coffee, and bam its at 70%. If you're looking for a "compact" smartphone, you can't go wrong with it. Solves all the issues that the 12 series had.
Plus with the eu rom (codename MAYFLY) you get all the great functionality of the China rom, without any of the bloatware, ads, and hiccups! Suddenly, MIUI becomes one of the the best UI experiences ever. If you're not averse to using a well-supported custom rom like this one, I find hardly any reason to get the expensive Xiaomi 13 over the 12s. Or, really any other phone really. Looking at you Realme and Vivo.

It also has better battery endurance and it also is a pretty strong choice for a bit of more... hardcore gaming, especially if you get it with 16GB Ram. The 12S has better cameras and if you like MIUI, then you shouldn't have any problem with it. I don't know about Asus' OS, but so far I haven't heard anyone complain about it. But for a compact phone, Zenfone 9 wins big.
And no, I don't think that GSMArena will be making a review for it....they would have done it by now

Would we expect a review soon? after long Research which my next Compact Phone would be, i think it would be this on or the Zenfone 9. A review would be much appreciated.
