12t pro owner, 08 Jan 2024be advised after a year my 12t pro no longer charging fastJust replace the cable, usually it's the cable that goes bad when fast charging no longer works.

This is a good device, but the Redmi K60 is better and comes with the same processor.

Apart from the battery degradation which is due to excessive gaming and a break in the charging cable outer casing.. Its still fast charging no problem. Try cleaning the micro usb cable and the connectors gently with a soft dry toothbrush. Might just be a bit of dust covering the proprietary connectors. Fixed it on mine when it wouldn't charge at all once.

You may notice battery life decrease after a year of usage. To reduce the battery life reduction, I recommend to use heatsink fan when charging. Do note, if you did use my idea; Do not overnight/overhour charging because there will be condensation and water may enter your phone. Also note, the more your phone heat up, the faster your battery life will reduce, but frankly if you have the money to buy this phone, you might as well stop stressing yourself out and just change the battery/phone or just don't fast charge at all(because there will be more heat generation). Then again, why did you buy a phone with fast charging if you did not fast charge.

The prodigal son, 25 Dec 2023What it is your daily SoT in heavy duty?Just rechecked my phone. Im only getting 4hours 15 min playing codm now from 100% to 15%. Won't be buying another xiaomi device. Battery drain is starting to become noticeable. Just over a year old.. Battery is on its way out, charger cable outer cover has snapped all the way round.. I rarely use the phone on charge and i look after my equipment. The cable is cheap and nasty and now all the 6A charging cables on xiaomi website are out of stock. USELESS

Real racing 3 kills the battery way too fast in 120fps so i set it to 90 instead from game turbo. Same on unkilled.. Heavy battery drain and starts to get warm.

Where can i get the turbo charge cable from in uk? Need the genuine cable for 120w charging as stand usbc cables dont have the proprietary tech that oneplus and xiaomi use.

If its just going to be sat around in standby charge it to 80% max. A phone batteries optimal range is between 30-80% charge. Anything above 80% isnt good really if the phones not in use as it puts more strain on the battery over time which is why our phones are shipped with 50% charge. Running battery below 20% is not advisable and letting it drain completely is a definite NO. I let mine run flat just once and it took a few minutes of charging before it would switch on again. Apparently its all to do with voltages.. Again running the battery flat puts unnecessary strain on the battery as longer charging times also means more heat which aint good for the battery.

Fastest i can drain my 12tpro is 4hours on real racing 3 but thats at 120hz and 120fps. When mine is full it states there's around 26hours left on the battery. Under normal usage you should just about get a full day out of it.

the battery life alone is not great, but not terrible. but with 120W charging ability (around 20 mins 10-100%) you would not fint it a problem

If you don't need to use mobile data then switch it off.. Especially the 5g. I mainly use wifi now and battery is better without data on. Switch off all xiaomi bloat and make sure all ads are disabled.. Every xiaomi app has an ad option in it so you need to switch every single one off seperately. Using about 150 of my 250gb storage and still runs smoothish.
