Anonymous, 26 Feb 2023Any thoughts, on xiaomi 13 vs s23 in 5 years perspective?5 years? That's 2028 and 2028 is the last year the S23 will get updates. For the Xiaomi it will be 2026 at most.
The battery of the Xiaomi will be in worse shape as the build quality is inferior, but I guess both will need a replacement if you plan to have them for 5 years. The Xiaomi most likely in its 3rd year and Samsung 4th or 5th year.
In overall the S23 is superior to the Xiaomi 13 in most aspects except for charging speed and battery mAh but for the rest is the same or better. So S23 easy win!

I'm a little bit confused. I went on xiaomi official site to see the specifications and xiaomi 13 pro has gorilla glass victus, xiaomi 13 lite has gorilla glass 5, but there is nothing specified on xiaomi 13 model. Why wouldnt they put it there if xiaomi 13 also has gorilla glass 5??

Yep ,still prefer the Mate 20 pro. Better screen, better Bluetooth codecs and better price.

Check any comparison, even the OnePlus 11 beats this Xiaomi in cameras. Will you stop dreaming?
My main phone is an Oppo, when you scream "Scamsung" you just put even more yourself in evidence. Handle it, the S23 is undeniably better and it's way more compact.

In fact, the S23 has a slightly better performance (higher CPU speed and faster memory) don't talk about older Exynos.
You're the only one blind here, by the deep love you have to Xiaomi. The screen is in fact worse, with less quality and less DPI as well. The screen ratio is 89% compared to the S23 87% so wow what a difference, less 2% bezels.
Now compare that it's 20 grams heavier without any reason, as it doesn't have better cameras nor an extreme zoom as both are x3 so just stop trying to boost up this phone specs as you only turn even more people against Xiaomi.
If we look at the specs we can see very similar phones in some aspects, but the Xiaomi 13 lacks many things the Samsung S23 has, such as a proper ISP for the camera, 4K selfie, 8K30 video, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, 384kHz Hi-Fi audio, USB that's not the 1990 2.0 (Samsung has 3.2 while Xiaomi has 2.0) and 5 years of updates. And 20gr lighter.
Xiaomi only wins in charging speed so why do you repeat it's much better if it's pretty much the other way around? Not even judging MIUI, as everyone knows what it is!
