[deleted post]You think people could trust your negative? Nobody can't. Xiaomi 13T camera is good because of German-company Leica.

When I compare all these test pictures it's clear that my old Mi 11 108mp camera hi-def or standard & UW are way better than these new models. Cropping the 108mp image is better than the 2x tele of the Mi 13T pro! I even sent back the mi 13 ultra I purchased due to this incomprehensible negative progress. Only talking camera, as a photographer....

Superb phone except...
Mobile signal drops for 30secs while I am in a car presumably while the phone moves from one cell tower to another. My phone call and mobile data gets cut off, I lose signal bars, and takes 30 secs to come back up. I used Samsung S22+ before and this never happened

HyperionBurn, 01 Feb 2024never had the wifi problem in 2 months and performance hicc... moreApologies, I do write 'weak' but it would be more accurate to write it as 'weaker'. I have a part of my house that I thought to be unreachable by wifi signal, that is until I got my previous phone (Poco f3) which able to get one bar or occasionally two. With 13T I can no longer get signal at that place, but when I tested it with my xiaomi pad 5 the signal is still there.
If you don't have a performance hiccup, then good for you. I just share my unpleasant experience that actually happened to me. I suspect this device need a little time to perform normally cause the slow performance also happened again when I try to reply in discord chat quickly after waking it up from being locked. I get symbol failed to show when I type quickly right after waking it up from lockscreen, but after some time it respond normally.
And this is another thing that I just notice recently, the auto screen dimming is also quite bad. The screen do not dimmed as well as my pad 5, I often have to adjust the brightness manually despite the auto toggle being on. I started to think that this device have problem with automation since the wifi often fail to connect automatically. Maybe this is the price for great battery life?

One and half months use, here's what I thought compared to my previous phone (poco F3):
+ Nice build quality and looks
+ Good battery
+ Decent camera
- Weak wifi reception. The first time I use Poco F3 I amazed how it able to get reception on places that normally out of range. With 13T I feel like I get a downgrade since aside of lower range the wifi connection often fail to connect automatically even when I'm back inside range.
- Performance hiccup. This do not happened too often (I only experience this 3 times over these past 1.5 month) but the performance drop is just horrifying. Let's say a game character move across the screen, instead of smoothly glide from right to left it teleported like 5-6 times instead.
I consciously choose 13t over poco F5 since I'm willing to sacrifice some performance over build quality (and IP68 since my F3 crippled after drenched in rain and rendering the touchscreen unusable) so I kinda fine with this. Still salty about those two I ranted above though.
And about condensation, I encounter none since I don't use AC at all.

I'm also aware that the internet is full of trolls and crying kids who don't know how to use a phone in the first place, but despite all that, I don't want a phone that drains the battery unnecessarily in standby mode and suffers from heating issues when using the camera or some other apps.

I'm struggling to decide between the 13T (8+256, 499 euros) and the Pixel 7a (8+128, 399 euros). I don't game on the phone and I mostly use it for social and taking pictures (gonna travel soon so that's going to be the main focus for the next weeks).
How does the 13T's camera compare to the pixel 7a one? Would GCam help in bridging any software-based gap between the two?
