Or do you think Hyper OS is "better" if it was a premium flagship like the 13T?

If the Xiaomi has these error you have been experiencing would you agree that their manufacturing and quality control process is not that good despite their "value for money" tag?

        1. Samsung
        2. OnePlus
        3. Anything but Xiaomi

Xiaomi devices feel like abandoned hours after release.

To this day I have this error which places the "press the fingerprint sensor" label on top of the fingerprint symbol / image, if you hide the gesture bar / pill.

Uninstall most apps if not all?
You can disable or turn off recommendations to most 1st-party apps?
I normally install a third-party file manager and use Google Photos (as I'm enrolled with Google One) to use those "gimmicky" albeit useful AI features
I use a third-party app like Zedge to download wallpapers, ringtones and text tones easily
But it's kind of a big deal if it has no Auto refresh rate and cameras are worse then a Galaxy A52 and security comes every 3-6 months (quarterly at most).
I'm thinking now of getting a budget OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite or even a Nord 3. if not a Galaxy S23 would suffice.
          What do you think?

Gino76ph, 31 Jul 2024Is it the UX? the ads? Bloateware that you cant uninstall? ... moreI'm only sticking to this phone because the PWM dimming is done with a really high frequency. I can't look at any Samsung phone for longer than 3 seconds. It just boils my eyes and brain, causing severe headaches.

            For example,
            - it has no native E-mail app
            - the notes app has no pdf conversion for backups
            - the filemanager has no recycle bin
            - the gallery app is constantly broken and was constantly deleting files before it was updated 6 months later
            - there is no screen-on-time in the stats
            - changing wallpapers and ringtones is more difficult than operating a nuclear submarine
            - the camera quality is worse than a Galaxy A52
            - battery life is even at 60 Hz locked terrible
            - most apps can't be kept open in the background for longer than 2 minutes
            - there is one security patch every 3-6 months (at best)

I have not used OnePlus before, but I bet it's not as bad as this.

So, with a cleaner software you choose a OnePlus phone than the Xiaomi?
If there is one (or two) saving grace for the 13T what would those be?

Gino76ph, 29 Jul 2024Right now i'm choosing between the 13T and the Nord 3.... moreThe software experience alone is reason enough to not buy Xiaomi. I tried for 8 months and can't stand it.

Which one you think has the better-specced, more better photos overall in the selfie camera? (I'm not looking at 4K recording but one that show more better skin tones, slightly better sharpness with less of that "beauty mode" softening, slightly better low light and a bit wider angle?)
If I was to get a Samsung Phone I would get a Galaxy S23+...right size, right weight and a Snapdragon chip. S24+ is Exynos (here in the UK) which i do not like. My wife has the Galaxy A54 and i thought it is quite a good phone (fair performance, very decent cameras, etc.). Issue with these Samsung phones in the past 100 years have been the slow battery charging. It's a major turn off for me.
Sony phones are very expensive here. Even last year's ones. The Xperia 10 line does not appeal to me due to the chipset and so-so cameras. The newer Motorola phones especially this year are really appealing, really good specs, best of stock Android and Moto featrures, etc. Problem is they all have curved screens which i hate because of accidental touches and overall viewing. It's a shame I know.
I had had the Nothing Phone 2a. It was full of bugs, it's a bit heavy and big and tall for my hands so i sold it. Tho I admire the fast updates.
So, which bring me to Xiaomi and OnePlus.
I could get the new Nord 4 but it's a bit expensive for me. I don't know if the Nord 3 is a good phone but it's mostly have mixed reviews. I could get the Xiaomi 14 but it is so expensive. So, i'm back to the Nord 3 vs the 13T.
                  Any more thoughts and advice?

OnePlus Nord 3 vs Xiaomi 13T vs Redmi Note 13 Pro:
Which one has better-specced, more optimised , more better photos overall in the selfie camera? (I'm not looking at 4K recording but one that show more better skin tones, slightly better sharpness with less of that "beauty mode" softening, slightly better low light and a bit wider angle?)

Gino76ph, 28 Jul 2024My OnePlus 10T is on the verge of being sold (selling due t... moreI understand. Sadly I can't help you too much with new info, because in recent times (last 2-3 years) I had mainly iPhones (because my ex girlfriend was iPhone maniac). Also, I am not a camera guy, I rarely take pictures or make videos with my phones.

In the past (previously my iPhone era) I had many Android phones. What I can tell you from my experience, stay away from Poco/Redmi cheaper models. Also, if you want Samsung, splash little more cash and get some S series model (even last years ones). Galaxy A series become quite laggy after couple of months (maybe because of One Ui interface).
I had some Realme and OnePlus models, but older models (I think 6-7 series). I know that their Ui felt always smoother than One Ui or MiUi (back then). But now, their higher pricing and bad availability in Czechia (where I live now), makes this phones hard to recommend for me.
You can try Pixel or Motorola phones if you are into stock Android. I am not, so I don't like them.
Don't have any experience with recent Sony or Asus phones. I think I had 1 Sony and 1 Asus phones, but maybe 10 years ago. I don't even remember the model names now, lol.

If I had to choose from the models you said, I will say get the 13T. It looks the best on paper. Also, in Czechia it come down in price since its release 1 year ago. Maybe in your country too.

Boggy, 28 Jul 2024Not saying Xiaomi 13T is a bad phone (on the contrary), but... moreMy OnePlus 10T is on the verge of being sold (selling due to the damaged glass on the front and cameras are inaccurate colours) and I have decided to sell my Moto G84 as the missus wasn't too pleased with how her photos came out. Haha.
Replacing my 10T for me would either be a OnePlus Nord 3 or the Xiaomi 13T.
Replacing my Moto G84 i've decided to invest in either a Nord CE4 Lite or a Redmi Note 13 Pro.
All phones are within my budget somewhat if we consider their current discounted prices.
I've had Xiaomi, Poco and Redmi in the past and I thought MIUI's performance is above average. Certainly faster than One UI but a bit slower than Oxygen OS but only minimally.
Any thoughts or comments on these?
My concerns are the front & rear camera quality overall (accurate skin tones, dynamic range, low light, noise levels, etc.) and i suppose to some extent display (PWM dimming, refresh rate, touch response rate, HDR+, etc.) and I'm not even a gamer.

I mean, I like to change my phones once in a while. But usually I change a good phone to a bad phone (cheaper), if I need the money for something else. Or I change a cheaper/bad phone with a better phone, if I need better performance/features.
But, in your case, you just want to change two similar phones. Maybe you are tired of Oxygen OS or something. But I think Hyper OS is not much better than Oxygen OS. Certainly not smoother.

Mobile is a great value, all good but I was disappointed by the camera it has a yellowish look , white tends to be warm , I was very surprised to see my old and outdated realme7 pro to produce "enjoyable" and eben detailed photos than the 13T , does any one know if there's an app that can fix this some what yellowish look of the photos ?

Right now i'm turning my eyes on a Xiaomi 13T as it is just £350 right now. If it stays that way till payday I may be to get it.
I currently have a OnePlus 10T. Disregarding the performance benchmarks which phone is considered superior in terms of overall photo quality and performance for both front & rear cameras?
