Relaced my redmi note 9s. So far phone is good excellent display, camera is good specially at night speakers sound nice and phone is lightweight. Its square in shape so not as easy to hold. My one did not come with a charger (eu version) so i am using the old redmi one. No 3.5mm audio jack no micro sd card and no fm radio. I don't miss any using usb c headphones don't listen to radio and 256gb is enough not to need sd card. Battery is ok (could be better but lasts entire day so its fine). I'm happy with it and would recommend it for the price.

Gambled on the 14T to return to flat display and looks very promising to me. While battery life is average, the cameras are great for the price class and anyone who says it is not good doesn't know anything about photography. I love the slim design and HyperOS is indeed better than MIUI of the past though HyperOS's interface are very much similar to MIUI. This is undoubtedly hard to beat in its class due to its SoC, Leica cameras, fast UFS 4.0 storage, fast LPDDR5X RAM, very good display. Better battery optimization on HyperOS 2.0 would make this a near perfect phone imho.

Have 14t for about 3 months now. The bad things about it:
- poor camera quality. In terms of details, sharpening is ok, but colors are awful. Shadows, highlights midtones, everything is messed. I have Samsung S23 and compared it side by side easily can see the difference.
- connectivity issues Lost mobile data connection too often. Im in Europe in 5g network and never have such issues with other phones.
- call problems. Every time when i call someone, ends the call by itself. Randomly. This is very boring and maybe the bug that force me to get rid of this phone. This is absolute nightmare when you have important calls.
In general these are the things that bother and bore me in this Xiaomi 14t.
Display, build quality, battery and sound are good enough for the price.

Not including charger is dumb, we should not let manufactures get away with this.
Looks like Dimensity heats up a bit when compared with latest SD's

Pros
1. Value for money. Don't think there is another phone with this spec at this price.
2. Very slim and light yet still has a 5000mah battery.
3. Mostly very smooth, but there are a lot of stutters while using certain apps and also in app drawer even after turning on 120hz. Maybe weak chipset or very poor UI optimisation by Xiaomi. This is really weird coz my X3 Superzoom is even more smoother despite having much older and slower CPU.
4. Photos are very detailed and quite pleasant to look at. The more I use it, the more I start to appreciate the cameras. The main camera is comparable to the photos taken by my brother using his Iphone 16 Pro Max. Selfie is also ok, i rarely use it, not a selfie person.
5. Battery life is very bad. Drops to 50% very easily while using it but 50% to 0% takes a little longer but still not happy with the battery life. The upside is that it supports PD 3.0 so majority of third party chargers out there support up to 35 watts of charging. I tested this using Rocoren 65w charger, Ldnio 65w charger, Ldnio 160w car charger and Ugreen 130w car charger.
6. I notice it has 5G SA mode in the phone, I believe only flagships and newer phones have this feature. Very good for future proofing.
7. I already upgraded to Android 15, had to change region to South Korea from Malaysia to get the update, so weird. The latest update I received was the Security Patch for January 2025. The phone comes with 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates which is seriously awesome for budget mid-ranger!
8. The OLED is damn impressive because it can get so bright outdoors. My previous phone LCD was useless under the sun but this 14T so clear. It does start to get a little hot after awhile but great for quick message reading/replying.
Cons
1. The 2x optical zoom range is not enough, should have been 3x or 4x but then again no other phone include optical zoom at this price range, haha.
2. No charger included by Xiaomi! This should be a crime because the charging protocol is proprietary technology. It does have PD 3.0 charging but when I use my 65w GAN charger, max it can hit is around 35 watts only. Lucky my wife is using Xiaomi 11T so she has Xiaomi's 67w charger.
3. The speaker quality is okay, sounds like not enough bass. Still more than adequate, just nitpicking here.
4. If you live in a warm(29c-38c) country like me, the phone does get very warm while using it outdoors. It especially starts to heat up while using the camera and video frames start to skip in 4K mode.
I have been using this phone for about a month and took hundreds of photos with it. The amount of features like eSim(useful if you travel a lot), UFS 4.0, IR blaster, optical zoom, Wifi 6, BT 5.4 and many more at this price range is just unbeatable at the moment. Overall, very recommended at the price I bought, which was about RM1200(USD272).
