I had a 13T with hyperOS 2 and didn't get the 80% battery charge limit option.
I just upgraded to a xiaomi 15 and indeed it got that option, I love it but why is it not on every phone already?

From my observation, it seems to only be present on the Xiaomi T-series and their flagships under the Xiaomi moniker (alongside other features like bypass charging, and full AOD instead of just 10 seconds).

I've noticed that Xiaomi started adding battery charge limiter and I'm wondering is this currently available on Xiaomi 15 already?
For example, I've seen it on some Redmi device running HyperOS 1.0.70, however my Poco X4 GT with HyperOS 1.0.11 doesn't have it. It's quite significant change to how phone charges and I find it odd that Xiaomi has HyperOS versions and feature sets all over the place.
For example, Samsung added charge limit to all the phones from A1x series all the way to their Ultra models. It's a feature which made me not opt for Xiaomi because it had none back then. Is battery charge limit currently available on all or most Xiaomi/Redmni phones and is Poco the only "outlier" for some reason?

Glad the phone is worth to buy as flagship devices with good price, HyperOS was like MIUI and I didn't like MIUI and always used stock custom rom, but now need to adapt coz it optimize and so fluid animation

Got the 12GB/512GB version of the phone at 986 EUR in Greece (although now it can be found for cheaper).
It was heating up quite a bit initially when using the camera or installing apps and had a few ads once in a while. To tackle these issues and improve the battery life, I've used the Universal Android Debloater Next Generation (from Github) to remove unwanted apps, packages and the ads.
After doing so, my phone can last 3 days (~30% battery drain per day using airplane mode + WiFi calling and having roughly 3 hours SOT per day) and does not heat up in regular use at all. The only downside is that some AI features have been removed (e.g. dynamic wallpapers) which could be a dealbreaker for some, although factory resetting it can bring them back.
Overall really happy with the phone and its a stellar performer in terms of battery life and performance. Cheers!

Right now for Xiaomi 15 512GB is 1089€ at Telia.
Price on Amazon.de for Xiaomi 15 512GB 1050€.
You can get Xiaomi 15 256GB from Aliexpress but that is CHINA VERSION not international version (also good luck with warranty and possible import taxed, etc). People in these comments always lying and trolling about real Xiaomi prices!!!

Is it worth upgrading from Mi 11 to xiaomi 15? It costs ~900 euros in my country without a charger 18-month warranty, Galaxy S25 costs 1000-1250 euros, as an alternative there is OnePlus 12 for 600-650 (256-512) but the Chinese version with a global firmware, without a warranty, Pixel 8 Pro (256 GB) for the same price, 1 month warranty.
