Finally, a flat screen in the highest tier lineup (great job!) but still curved unprotected sides (bad job!).
I do appreciate the ultrasonic sensor, I still prefer the side fingerprint on the 10T Pro but this is much better than optical sensors.
Newer optics are cool but I still prefer shooting natively at 25MP on the 10T Pro, and no, 50MP modes don't make up for it. The one thing some of the newer phones had going for them was the aperture and it's missing here.
Overall this is still the most compelling phone from Xiaomi in 4 years but still no real reason to upgrade from the 10T Pro. Give me an SD card and a camera that shoots natively at 20MP next generation and I'll see you there.

David 040882, 29 Oct 2024Very good-looking specs overall, but I can't turn a bl... moreBuddy that ain't a small downgrade. Had the 13 Pro before my 14 Pro. Honestly they both felt really similar as the large aperture did do its job to compensate the missing sensor size. Bokeh and DOF in general also felt really clean on the 14 Pro. Now the 15 Pro straight up removes what made the 14 Pro so good ( and fun ) to use. Couple that with a niche 5x instead of a versatile 3.2x. Seems like Xiaomi's pro phones are quite literally becoming a social experiment

As someone who has used the 11U, 13 Pro and 14 Pro, this 15 Pro seems more like a side grade compared to the 14. Slightly better screen to body ratio and slightly better battery life seems a bit underwhelming considering the 14 Pro already has one of the slimmest bezels around. In terms of camera, 13 Pro to 14 Pro is generally a reasonable upgrade. Despite the sensor size downgrade, Xiaomi did actually manage to fix the telephoto color rendering. Variable aperture was also a good compromise for 1 incher IMX989. The 15 Pro however, cuts the variable aperture AND the versatile 3.2x in place of a 5x. Better sensor and perhaps optics? Nah that's definitely a downgrade. That 3.2x sheiße is one hell of a portrait demon. I'll definitely have to visit my local Xiaomi store in China to test it for myself to see whether the under the hood optimisations and the speakers are worth it. Seems like they have gone on a downward trend since the 11U's Harmon Kardon tuned speakers. My 14 Pro's speakers have better presence but it is quite a bit lacking compared to my 13 Pro. As it stands now, this ain't it.

The Shatterproof glass (which is at least 10 Times tougher than the glass found on every other smartphone, except Huawei's Kunlun glass)
is what makes this phone stand out over the competition.
This is the only smartphone that gives you that peace of mind, without having to use a screen protector that prevents you from enjoying the full potential of this gorgeous screen.
Oh, and let's not forget about the fact that it's the only screen that Is completely scratch resistant .so yeah like i said, no need for screen protectors🙏🙏👍👍

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2024because they are afraid of the new Honor Magic 7 series. Ho... moreNobody's afraid of that mediocre company and its horrible software update policy, 75%+ of their product portfolio is just entry level phones powdered by the laughably slow Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 while being priced at $250-$300 USD. I would've congratulated you in the phone, but Honor is so mid that the proper and only response is to send my deepest condolences to you.
