alcatraz, 29 Sep 2025I wouldn't use it so it's unnecessary (for me). I... moreSamsung is probably one of the worst battery efficiencies (most). Ive owned many including s5, s7 edge, s9, s9+, s10e, s10, s20, s20fe, a32 5g, s21 ultra, s25. s20 fe was ok and the a32 5g was the best. but the s25 battery sucks. The best battery phone ive had are the Sony Xperia 10 iv, Oppo Reno12, Oppo A78. These three phones will last a whole day from 7am to 9pm, traveling using gps, taking pictures, using internet to search for places all on mobile data.

Never been a fan of the four-camera square. Just doesn't look right.

What's the point of heavier and larger battery when the realized endurance is not proportionally better than lighter phones with smaller battery? 7000mAh is at tablet level battery size. With a much smaller screen, it better give better endurance than a tablet.

Roy, 28 Sep 2025i have never heard of anyone complain about having too big ... moreI wouldn't use it so it's unnecessary (for me). It's indeed impressive that those extra 3000mAh only weigh 30 extra grams BUT...

I promise you, it won't get twice the SOT of a 3500mAh Apple or Samsung. It allows the manufacturer to create a less efficient product.

And I'd prefer to lose those 30 grams and bring a small powerbank once a week/month/year when I need those extra mAh. But that's just me. We're all different. For those who need a little extra power it's a good choice.

It's just important to remember that a 10% larger battery will rarely give you 10% longer battery life. I'd like for gsmarena to rank phones by their efficiency. Endurance PER 1000mAh. Apple and Samsung would be at the top of the list right away.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2025Your point 1 is moot since it includes 100w charger.Well, not really. Like buying a 1000km range electric car when you only ever need 300km. You end up carrying around unutilized battery needlessly.

Furthermore, if Xiaomi designs it with 7000mAh, how much do you think they're going to try and write efficient power saving code? Very little. We will see in the review how many hours of SOT we get per Ah of battery. That's a true measure of efficiency.

My wife's Xiaomi advertises 65w charging but only charges at about 30w with the display off. With the display on it charges with 10-15w. She's had to change her habits to not have to stay on the charger for like 1,5h (while using the phone). It's not a huge deal but combined all these issues add up.
