    Even Xiaomi starting to lose their edge. That narrow FoV ultrawide sounds bad, the second display is mostly gimmick.

    Saw a comparison between the xiaomi 17 pro's ultrawide selfie (using the back screen) vs iphone 17 selfie (using the actual selfie camera). The xiaomi was only a little wider, and the iphone looked better.

    I don't mind a company copying another companies work as long as they copy the good stuff.

      I'm not too happy with this. The telephoto should have been 4x (~100mm), with bigger aperture (like f2 - f2.5) and bigger sensor.
      The ultrawide sounds underwhelming. I expected better.

          I thought Xiaomi 17 Pro is enough. But there is more as you can see on the Pro Max version. May there is more than it if they introduces the Plus version of the Pro Max.

          It would be Xiaomi 17 Pro Max Plus. With this in mind, we will confuse as it resulted to no end if they rearrange among Pro, Max and Plus in reflecting the upgrade.

            I was just made aware by the specs this model has that was commonly used to judge entry to mid range phone. Sometimes we did not think such event can occur. To have entry level phone uses the flagship phone, the only way is to have the flagship phone itself.

                    I gree with you completely. The Xiaomi 17 Pro will hit the European market no erlier than at the beginning of 2026.

                                I like the phone kinda but the manufacturer is Xiaomi, so I would rather go with something more known/reliable like iphone 17. The xiaomi will probably be 1000eur by the leakers (same story as ipone 17, 800 usd in USA but 959 eur in EU). And the software is probably laggy and has big flaws.

                                    If anyone can take selfies with the main camera combined with the small screen, WHY put a front camera with a punch hole there. If anyone's partner is willing buy him/her this phone, on condition you enable the small screen to show WHO is calling or WHO is @you, would you use this phone. BTW, the small screen looks really nice !

                                      The time will show. I think the Xiaomi 17 Pro will hit the global market long before x-mas.
