    iPhones always excelled in that area before they killed the jack.

I understand the convenience... moreWith the horrendous unreliability and high outright failure rate I've had on those little dongles, absolutely not. I get most people tolerate their AirPods and clones but the last ones I had lasted just over a month before they wouldn't charge anymore. In my case it would be literally cheaper to just pay Sony's price gouging just to not have to deal with it, even if I'd have to deal with sub-400 dpi on a 4 figure phone.

You can get dongles that allow you to listen to songs AND charge. Although i must say that is not a very smart thing to do, it's always best to charge your stuff and then use it

But some phones (such as Oneplus) will not wireless charge when a headphone or mic is plugged into the USB port which makes it really inconvenient.

                    For 720EUR it's not really losing a whole lot compared to much more expensive devices. The battery is amongst the biggest in a mainstream device (it matches the Redmagic 10S Pro+) without even being that thick, the camera hardware on offer is on par with more more expensive devices (the ultrawide sensor is tiny as expected, but like the main it's competitive and 1/2" is pretty big for a 5x zoom) and it has USB3 with video out which is kind of niche but is nice to see. Getting the full 100W over PPS is also very good in a world where it's impractical to ship included chargers in the EU market.

                    Of course there are places where costs have been cut, if I had to nitpick the display while it is very bright and 12 bit colour is impressive, the 416ppi pixel density is on the low side for an OLED screen. It's not the worst out there even on much more expensive phones (looking at you Sony) but generally 450-500ppi is much closer to ideal for OLED displays. It's probably what they had to do for the secondary rear panel even if that doesn't make all that much sense to begin with. While there is an IR blaster (good for controlling offline devices) there is no 3.5mm port (meaning your option for reliable audio is hope for the best with a dongle) and no SD card slot (those who shoot lots of 4K video, use Winlator or just want to carry tons of films with them may find even 1TB isn't enough, and I don't know if it supports external recordng like the iPhones do) but those aren't going to even be a consideration for many.

                    Overall 8 Elite G5 devices are off to a very good start.

                      jiyen235, 07 Oct 2025phone dacs suck, sony's dacs are nice and all but the... moreEh, chances are you're not walking around with Sennheiser HD600s for multiple reasons (they don't fold, and open backs are a bad idea in public in general) and instead using one of countless high sensitivity options, so as long as it's a clean output with those high sensitivity headphones (which most phones had no issue) it doesn't ultimately matter how powerful it is. It doesn't take much to beat the reliability or sound quality of even modern Bluetooth headphones.

                        i like how they skip Xiaomi 16 series and goin 17 like iphone 😹

                          I am actually considering Information Infinix Zero 50 5G, but its not yet released, so to this Xiome phone: What is the fair price for a 16 GB ram and 1TB of strpage, and also, bring back the micro SD memory card, and the 3.5 audio jack, also we always need 4K video at 60 tp 120 fps with OIS and EIS, good night mode, Micro camera, and 10x zoom optical, and a wide cam.
