Xiaomi 17 Pro's camera specs leak
Xiaomi is unveiling three high-end smartphones later this month, the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. The company has already confirmed that it's skipping the 16 number in order to catch up to Apple's naming scheme.
Today some details about the camera setup for the Xiaomi 17 Pro have been outed in China. The phone is said to have a 50 MP main shooter with f/1.67 aperture. The telephoto camera will have f/3.0 aperture and 115mm focal length, thus it will provide 5x optical zoom.
Finally, the ultrawide camera is said to have 17mm focal length. Of course, the entire camera system will be Leica branded. Interestingly, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is said to have a different camera setup, so the Pro and Pro Max aren't identical save for the size and battery capacity after all.
Then again, the Pro should be around the same size as the 'vanilla' 17, which most likely has an inferior camera setup. The Pro has previously been rumored to sport a 6.3-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate.

Hardware is good in flagships Xiaomi phones but they software sucks and they camera is always behind Vivo or even Oppo. Instead of copying they should concrete on building its own brand. Just another example that China only copies and never innovate.

The Xiaomi 17 ultra will be launched later (if they still call it that). It will be the camera focused successor to the 15 ultra. Oppo and Vivo will offer more camera focused models with better camera experience in terms of the pro phones.
