Xiaomi announces Mi Music and Mi Video streaming services in India
Xiaomi has launched the Mi Music and Mi Video online streaming services in India. These will bring music and video streaming features to the already existing Music and Videos apps present in MIUI.
The Mi Music service is powered by Hungama, one of India's largest content streaming service. The service will offer over 10 million free tracks across 13 local languages and for a fee of INR 899 ($13.49) per year, customers will be able to download and play tracks offline.
The Mi Video service is currently powered by Hungama Play, SonyLiv and Voot, with Sun NXT, ALT Balaji, Zee5, Viu, TVF and Flickstree coming soon. This service will provide users with over 500,000 hours of content of which about 80% is free. No subscription plans have been specified for this service yet and the premium content will likely be on an à la carte basis.
The services are currently available in beta with final version arriving in mid-May.

Expected competetive pricing, considering it's Xiaomi. Amazon provides Prime (which includes shopping, Music, Prime Video) @ 999 a year. Why would anyone pay 899 for Hungama music?
