The speaker on this thing is crazy...the bass waaaayyy crazier than the best flagship on planet...but not sure why it weigh 220g, that freakin heavy for its size...

NFC funcionality is a bit sketcky.
I have the 12/256G version, with the latest update installed (I believe this phone only received a single update, which was only a security patch).
I use NFC sporadically, say twice a month, but when I do need, I DO need it.
But to my demise, the BS 4 Pro NFC only works sometimes. I have tried rebooting, activating and deactivating battery saving mode folowed by resetting NFC functionaly and it SOMETIMES makes it work again, but not always.
Is that normal? I like this phone but this bugs are making it hard to stick to Xiaomi. I'm seriously planning on selling it because I waited to buy the global version so that it could ship with NFC enabled, and then I can't even use it anyways.
Do not buy the BS4 or 4 Pro if you need NFC, it'll leave you stranded.

In the same fashion YouTube is a subsidiary company of Google, so is Black Shark of Xiaomi.
In more familiar terms, is like Sony and Ericsson being parent companies of the now defunct (rather, rebranded) Sony Ericsson company that developed many phones we loved.

The Black Shark 4 Pro is a really nice phone. I have the 8gb-ram, 128gb-storage model and it gets the job done for my parts. I live in the states too, so 4G\5G runs fine on it.
Battery is great, and if you want it to last, use "power save mode", and 18w Fast\Quick Charge brick, not the 120w one that came with it. (NOTE: I also keep my brightness around 25-50% w dark-mode on\off when indoor, outdoor is varied.)
Gaming will get you around 2-4hr, music and videos around 5-6hr, and daily use will get you through the day just fine around 30-20% battery left.

Tencent is invested in black shark and they planned to buy the black shark division FROM Xiaomi but they seems to back off on the deal.

My battery die... moreThats what happens when you keep on ultra charging your phone! Battery dies faster as it gets more hotter means it degrades faster too.
I suggest if you aren on the rush, try charging the phone with the lowest available charger you got like 5v 2a or even lower without using the phone.

Nice try The Verge but clearly this phone is better than all the others and definitely not 5/10 just because of leftist views. It's an 8/10 for me. Complaining about Shark-chan being highly interactive and even describing it as sexist is the stupidest thing I've read. It's still one of the best gaming phone along Redmagic 7 & 7 Pro that's still available on the market.
