Xiaomi introduces product recycling program in India

Prasad, 03 May 2017

Xiaomi has announced a new product recycling program in India in collaboration with TES-AMM, who will be doing the actual recycling. As part of this program, the company will be taking back electronics, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, power banks, speakers, headphones, etc. across all brands and recycling them for the user.

To take advantage of this program, users will have to fill out a form on the Xiaomi website. The products will be collected by Xiaomi within 15 days at no charge to the user. As an added bonus, a discount coupon worth INR 100 will be given to the user, which can then be used on the Xiaomi India online store on accessories on a minimum purchase value of INR 1000.

This program should help reduce the e-waste generated and reduce the impact on the environment. If you have dead electronics lying around, it is recommended that you take advantage of this program instead of just throwing them away.
