Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 5 earbuds in India. They will be available starting February 20 through Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Homes, and Xiaomi retail partners for INR 2,999.

The Redmi Buds 5 feature active noise cancellation, which the company claims blocks 46dB of noise for up to 99.5% of noise cancellation. The ANC offers three modes, Deep noise cancellation, Balanced noise cancellation, and Light noise cancellation. The transparency mode offers presets such as Regular, Enhance Voice and Enhance Ambient Sound.

The earbuds feature 12.4mm dynamic drivers with polymeric titanium-plated diaphragm. The Xiaomi Earbuds app lets you choose between presets such as Standard, Enhanced Treble, Enhanced Bass, and Enhanced Voice.

The dual-channel AI algorithm can offer superior call quality even in windy conditions. The earbuds support dual-device pairing and can seamlessly switch between the two for audio and voice calls. They also feature IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Xiaomi claims a battery life of 10 hours for continuous playback with ANC disabled and 38 hours total with the charge in the case. A 5 minute quick charge gives you 2 hours of playback and a 10 minute charge can provide 4 hours of playback.

The Redmi Buds 5 will be available in three colors, Fusion Purple, Fusion Black, and Fusion White.

Ive had them on for many hours straight, above 4 hours and they dont hurt at all, depends on what ear tips and what size ears you have.

is it painful after 2 hours?
