Xiaomi Mi 5 receives official price cut in China; Redmi 3x's price slashed as well

Six months after it was made official, the Xiaomi Mi 5 has received an official price cut in China. The company has slashed the prices of all Mi 5 models by RMB 200, which translates into around $30 at current exchange rates.

Specifically, the 3GB/32GB variant is now available for RMB 1,799 (around $270), while the 3GB/64GB model now costs RMB 2,099 (around $315). The Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage will now set you back RMB 2,499 (around $375).

In addition to the Mi 5, the Xiaomi Redmi 3x has also received a price cut of RMB 100 (around $15) in the country - it's currently selling for RMB 799 (around $120).
