You can quite easily unlock the bootloader, just google it. And if you want to load custom ROM with pure Android experience, I would recomend the Lineage OS.

I bought one recently and I am extremely disappointed. It doesn't come with a full Android OS, but with a limited version called MIUI. There is an endless list of things which are either missing or buggy. Overall, using the phone is a frustration, even more so at its steep price. Oh, and to top it all off, the bootloader comes locked, so you can't upgrade nor downgrade.

I'm planning on getting a new phone soon because the warranty on my lg g5 has run out and I've got serious ghosting problems that I don't want to pay to fix when I originally planned on buying a phone in half a year. The things that are most important to me is performance, screen, battery and design. I've looked at OnePlus 6t, mi 8, mi mix 3 and the Poco F1. And I gotta say. The design of the mi 8 is really tempting. And if I would buy a Xiaomi is it best to buy from their website or a different reseller? And also does the mi 8 come with an adapter so you can use 3.5 mm headphones and does it come with a case? Cause the mi mix 3 does.

Just got the camera update that was supposed to get it to Mix 3 photo quality level, im not so sure they got it right tho, also got the updated Slow motion to 960fps, results are a hit or a miss it seems, also it seems they are not real 960fps but 240fps with software applied to simulate 960fps, anyone feel the same?

i'm not satisfied for Main camera especially for night or underlight, the picture result not good, even set in HDR & AI

Hka, 21 Dec 2018Which one is better for both of camera,speed,useful,hardwar... moreif you take a picture by note you will find it good because of resolution of screen for Note , but both has same Camera, also the Mi 8 has a snapdragon 845, which Note has its own CPU.
