Rumors started this to be a fantastic phone, and by the time of release it turns to be the awful:
first: rumored 5.65" screen (meaning a reasonable size phone) - now 6.2" :(
second: rumored 4480 mAh battery (obviously overestimated) - now 3300 mAh (way below today's standards for a huge phone like this)
third: Under the Display fingerprint - now NO under the display fingerprint !

Xiaomi really cares about its system power, its performance, they take good care with the processor and ram usage, sometimes, battery is also not bad, overall, I'd like its performance more than its appearance.

I really dont need to have a 1000 eur phone to standout in public.
Moto X4 does everything and for a decent price.
And of course i understand you but i sometimes justify or judge the companies for being too greedy.
I know that everybody have to live from something but robbing half the planet isnt an option to go.

What I was trying to say is that you sometimes got to diversify your comparisons (extend them to other phones).
This mi 8 is as good as the OnePlus 6, yet the latter cost $170 more !
And no, I'm not a Samsung fanboy. Currently using a $100 phone called Infinix Hot S lol

I wish this phone size is much smaller than note4x. Love the size of my mi6 but i want to upgrade to mi8 if the size pocket friendly

People are delused they buy samsung or apple even if they have to pay 3000 per piece.
Dont get me wrong but not everything which cost 1000+ means quality.
Vertu was quality and now they are gone.
Samsung does quantity they sell much more than xiaomi but in case of quality they make all at speed up setup i mean in rush and thus they phones barely last 2 years.
Just look at the J series. Asking 250 eur for a phone worth 120 maybe 150.
Their S series are the same. Nothing extra to ask 1000 diollars for S9+.
Xiaomi blackshark cost 1/3 of that and offers same power. Apart from water resistance and a bit worse camera the phone is like equal and cost only 1/4 of S9+ price.
Dont get me wrong but i rather support great phone for great price than rubbish in a gold shiny coat.

Too much expectation, people might be quite disappointed: too large screen, big notch, poor battery and poor camera as usual
