Xiaomi Mi 8 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage debuts
Xiaomi announced that it will be launching a Mi 8 with 8GB of RAM on August 8. Pre-bookings kicked off on the very same day but actual sales are starting today.
The beefed-up Mi 8 can be found on JD.com with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and it goes for CNY 3,299 ($480). Interestingly enough, the 6GB/256GB version is also going for CNY 3,299 so we are really hard-pressed to see why would anyone choose 2GB more RAM over 128GB of internal storage.

They will release it next week. And the week after it will be another variant with 8.5 Gb and 259.85 Gb, lol
