Xiaomi Mi Max 2 escapes China, now available in Malaysia

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2, which was unveiled late last month and has only been limited to China, is now also available in Malaysia. Retailer DirectD has the phone (64GB variant) listed on its website for RM 1,499, which translates into around $350. Available color options include gold.

The Max 2 is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset and sports a 6.44-inch display. RAM is 4GB, while storage options include 64GB and 128GB. The handset features 12MP main camera, and a 5MP front shooter. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, and packs in a mammoth 5,300mAh battery.

SD652 - that would be its predecessor, the original Mi Max prime model.

6.44 inch display is very big, it is not easy to carry, not pocket-able (when you running the 6.44 inch screen will become a big burden in the pocket), difficult handle with one hand, difficult operate with one hand, drop damage very easy. But ...
