Dearest unbiased knowledge followers.It is an almost PC and tablet mixture!But omissions of qualities thought being Windows Microsoft is not what people in 2017 the evolutionary year are after!!What are omissions!!!?Having no SIM slot,no NFC,no IR,no complete up to data Bluetooth 5+5 auxiliaries,no USB V3.1 + otg,...Of course better specifications than Mi2!!!Scientific view:Dearest Xiaomi will face defeat if doesn't do modifications before its release!!!With modification corrections:One of the best PC laptop tablet of 2017-18 if someone exits in Xiaomi publication relations!!My unbiased view:Xiaomi started very well with 6 unique quality devices but after RN4 mediatek down clock downgrading of qualities have been started based on un-scientific wrong calculations of todays public alertness!!!?Just hopefully Xiaomi returns to itself of being the best Chinese starter brand but not,...Thanks the awaken!Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar.whom cares about quality of all brands!

They should do it..It's 2017 and the next update to Mi Pad after this one (if it launches) will not be until 2019. Internet connectivity on-the-go (and at all times) is very much needed, now-a-days. It so much adds to the utility a device can offer. In developing countries where public Wi-Fi Hotspot network is too under-developed while LTE connectivity is decent and steadily improving, a non-LTE device is such a deal breaker.

At last a W10 tablet with good specs and pri... moreits hard to make a tablet like this with a removable battery. from what i understand the mi pad 2 the battery is replaceable. but you simply cant make a battery as hot swappable and reliable on something as thin as this. its ALOT more replaceable than any microsoft surface.

it would be unlikely this is runnign the upcoming windows 10 cloud which limits apps to the windows store but even if it was you are likely able to upgrade to home or pro.

PrincessOfAndaman, 18 Dec 2016I wonder which OS is really inside this one, Windows 10 or ... morei dont think you understand what windows 10 mobile is. windows 10 mobile is only on arm phones. not even on tablets and certainly not on x86 cpus at this time. the cpu in this is a full x86 cpu just like on your desktop. so this will be running windows 10 home or pro. there is windows 10 cloud which is much like windows RT where you are limited to moderns windows apps from the store though that is an artificial limit to make a cheap licence for consumers. you would be able to up grade to full windows if that was the case unlike windows rt.

The resolution of the screen is the same as the iPad ... morethe screens are the same as the ipad and ipad mini. apple chose to keep the resolution the same to make app development esier. also its also a good idea as when you make a screen smaller you still want to be able to fit as much on. this is why 11.6" laptops have 1366x768 just like the 15" counterparts which have a standard ~100 dpi. 11.6" at 900x480 would not be as practical.
