Got this device last week, it is my first tablet ever. The build quality is awesome. The screen is definitely a good IPS panel. I can compare it with my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and it doesn't feel any worse than the fantastic AMOLED in that one.
What has surprised me the most is the smoothness. Even with the chipset being three years old, it feels like a bullet in everything I do. I guess that's what flagship chipsets do, their longevity is unquestionable.

I've read some bad comments about HyperOS. I haven't installed it yet, only updated to the latest MIUI 14 version available. Will wait a few months to see if they fix the issues people are having. But yeah on MIUI 14 this thing is great. The specs, build and smoothness belong to a much higher price category. Even a friend who owns a much more expensive iPad Pro recognized this is a very strong machine. Solid offering from Xiaomi.

    I'm sure it's a top notch lcd.

    My problem is that I can buy lets say a 2024 lcd or a 2021 oled (for the same price) and usually the oled comes out on top. In fact I still to this day use my 2014 gen 1 samsung tab 10.5in oled tablet. My main use is media consumption. For browsing and office use it wouldn't really matter.

Hyper os is terrible xiaomi He did it on purpose so that his sales would start well in addition to such a good device, the new one that is coming, which is the xiaomi pad 7, which is optimized for hyperos and comes with it, and this xiaomi pad 6 came with Android 13 miui 14 and is so nicely optimized, they are on purpose that's what they did to us, our loyal customers, that we should boycott the purchase of the xiaomi pad 7 so that they don't sell a single piece, and they certainly won't, this device can do everything, you don't need a xiaomi pad 7 at all!

          Zepnixorial, 01 Mar 2024I updated the hyperos bc there's that one useful featu... moreI sold mine when I saw what hyper os did to it, hyperos is not for tablet devices and this was done on purpose only for this tablet because it should now be sold next to this new xiaomi pad 7 which is coming and is optimized for hyperos, and the xiaomi pad 6 is not optimized for hyperos at all, and whatever you do on hyperos you're just hurting yourself son, I sold it, then bought another stronger one with 8GB of RAM, and I don't let it install a single update ever again. Updates are designed to slowly destroy your phone so that you buy a new one after a year. Be smart because this is how we figured out most of what Updates are for. To nothing.

            People be smart, don't UPDATE THIS SUPER DEVICE in so terrible for him in hyper os. Be smart!

                All is excellent except Mismart pen is not as good as samsung Spen. And this doesn't have samsung notes like app. Mi canvas is horrible.

Will i... moreDon't do it, the HyperOS update have properly broken it it's now buggy as hell, can't Cast, can't change Portrait/Landscape mode, flashes black screen on tap to wake, it's not loud enough, can't easily choose own photo for wallpaper through Wallpaper changer, the Clock widget takes up 2x Lines so wastes so much space, can't change grid size, underpowered RAM and too small storage space with no SD card, doesn't sync emails properly, three white dots on video playback drives you mad, lost its wonderful charging animation...so many things, it's like they just threw Android 14 at it hoping it would stick. I have to use a volume booster app and a hidden features app to get to good android settings. I would suggest getting the OnePlus Pad with 12GB or RAM and 256GB storage. I'm never buying Xiaomi again and would have sent this back if I could have wiped my Xiaomi Account but the damn thing locked to my account and wouldn't let me do a proper Factory Reset. It's spec looks great on paper but it is just lost with this OS and seriously underpowered.

                                  Should I buy Xiaomi pad 6 or wait for Xiaomi pad 7?? Will it be overpriced? I need a tab for heavy gaming.

                                    If attech any airbuds our internal speak by Bluetooth
                                    This time sound is low..

                                        Only issue with the tablet I'm facing is data being deleted after a few days. Same issue with my phone (Xiaomi 13T). Anyone else facing this problem with HyperOS?
