Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

GSMArena Team, 09 June 2025.

Design, build quality, handling

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro design is quite familiar as it hasn't changed since the Pad 6 series. We appreciate the no-nonsense looks with the metal chassis and its flat sides.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

The Pad 7 Pro has a glass front and an aluminum back panel that also extends over the sides (unibody). There is also a version with a matte display glass, which eliminates reflections, improves the sunlight legibility and helps with paper-like writing experience when writing with the Focus Pen.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

The matte glass model has limited availability and if available in your market - it can be purchased only in Gray color with 512GB+12GB RAM and costs €150 over the standard version.

The Pad 7 Pro has no ingress protection rating, just in case you were wondering.

The slate is available in Gray (ours), Green and Blue colors.

Let's see the Pad 7 Pro up close now.

The front is all screen, of course. The 11.2-inch LCD panel is of high resolution and the colors are lively. It offers smooth animations thanks to its 144Hz refresh rate support.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

The screen bezels are around 8mm thick, so there is enough room to rest your fingers, and plenty of space for the 32MP front camera and a bunch of sensors (ambient light, proximity for accessories).

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

The back side has pogo pins for the keyboard accessories next to the logo and this giant camera housing that accommodates the 50MP primary, the 2MP depth sensor, the IR blaster, and a small LED flash. We can imagine that only the high-res camera needed such enclosure and the rest is just there for aesthetic symmetry.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

The sides of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro are filled with stuff.

The short sides have 2x2 huge speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Also on the short sides, you can spot a microphone and the power/lock key, which also incorporates an always-on fingerprint scanner.

One of the longer sides is completely bare, while the other one has two symmetrical microphones, the volume keys, and the magnetic holder/charger for the optional Xiaomi Focus Pen.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro measures 251.2 x 173.4 x 6.2 and weighs 500 grams, which is nicely thin and lightweight for an 11-inch tablet.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro review

We are quite happy with the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro - it's a solid tablet with a fingerprint-resistant metal shell, good grip and comfortable shape. And the maker offers plenty of optional accessories, which we are going to explore in a bit.

Lenovo tab plus is a low end tablet. Helio is the bottom grade of MediaTek processors. Don't compare sleep with death. Lenovo Tab plus is far behind.
