Nothing is wrong with it. It is called a production cost saving. Not only Xiaomi did it but also other brands. At the end we only need to judge bad or good by its price versus its performance. The cheaper the price the lower the performance unless we got it free or in price discount.

To be fair, the specs are kind of worth it when you consider the price. When in sale, this is only priced at around $50 here in my country for the 4/64 variant. Considering what you get (HRR, capable processor, screen, and battery), this is worth it.
As long as you know what to expect, this is a good buy for those who are saving their budget.
