My Poco M5s is now updated to MIUI 14.0.11.0
The update only brings the security patch to March 2024
And it's still in Android 13

I've been using this phone for a year now so lemme bring out a lil review(Bought the phone with a 6/128 configuration)
Display:Can't see the difference between the display color of an AMOLED/OLED & an IPS LCD so i dont give a crap about it,I can make my eyeballs adapt to a colorfull or a less colorfull display unlike yall XD(Screen brightness is sufficient for outdoor use imo)
UI:Bloatware ahh but can be disabled if you're not lazy to find out how.But i wonder how my RAM got stolen so easily lmao cuz i only got about 3.0/6.0 RAM left lol(Is this even related to the UI or something idk)
Performance:Not that bad ig but I definitely want a big performance upgrade.The phone does lag if you're playing something big,so if you know you can't play it properly then don't unless if you can cool your phone down or somethin
Camera:Don't know about this cuz i rarely use it 💀💀💀
Battery & charging speed:The battery last pretty long on a full chrage,I'd say more than a day if you use it lightly.Gaming on this phone will drain the battery dry in about 5-6 hours.Charging speed is not that fast but its ok,problem is I want a faster charger(maybe like 80w).
Speakers:Top firing speaker is quieter than the bottom one,as expected for a phone in this price range,but I like the surround-like sound from a phone with a stereo speakers setup.
Update:Expect the phone to get update until Android 14 and HyperOS 1.0,its a cheap mid range phone so don't expect a hell lot of update unless its Samsung 💀
Overall a complete package for the price,I would give it an 8/10 rating.Thats all 😐

Do not listen to the hate. For what you pay for this phone, you can't really ask for anything more. Obviously this is not a gamer's phone, but will play basic games like tetris & bubble shooter, fruit ninja, etc. I got this phone for the wife and she is extremely happy with it. The speed difference between this and the Galaxy A12 she had, is night and day. Much faster, much nicer display, faster charging, more storage, better cameras, Already upgraded to MIUI-14 and a few security updates as well. Came with a charger & case. If you are after a budget phone with enjoyable features and a beautiful Oled screen, I can highly recommend it.

This phone is great just bought it around 6140 PHP(in 30% discount) in shopee, the 8GB ram and 258 GB rom variant. I like phone having AMOLED display because its more colorful than IPS LCD. Main camera absolute good because its have 4K resolution main camera and have 64 Megapixel camera. However, the refresh rate on display its only 60hz so just a standard FPS.
* About chipset performance, this phone will throttle especially playing heavy games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. Both games can run up to 25FPS in medium graphics but only for first 5 mins in gameplay. After 5mins gameplay, the phone will throttle especially in combat mode. I tried check the chipset stats found in developer option. I found that chipset temperature will reach up to 53°C when playing those games which is pretty hot. This phone really need active cooling attachment just keep the temperature to be control. Overall, this phone have limitation in terms of hard core gaming because it uses very old 12nm fabrication in making this chipset.

with this price still a great option if you compare it to some phones that even does not come with a charger for a higher prices and a lower spec's.

I just bought this 8/256GB phone for only 6300 Philippine pesos (113.12 USD) on Shopee PH. It's a great phone with an installment plan for 6 months at zero interest. It never lags for applications and light games, and the battery life is impressive. The AMOLED screen is crisp enough for the price.
On the downside, it does stutter while playing heavy games like CODM and Genshin Impact. The front-facing camera is a bit washed out, and the rear camera isn't the sharpest, especially at night. However, using GCAM improves the camera quality by up to 60%. The dual speakers are good, but the balance is off. You can adjust this in the settings under accessibility. I guess the top speaker is only about 40% quieter than the main one at the bottom.
Overall, I still love this phone, especially considering the price and its trendy specs. It's a true mid-range phone for the price.

Natalie 95, 18 Dec 2023after 13 months of usage my screen has burning issues speci... moreThat's what happens if you always max out brightness with static white/bright images will cause Burn-in on Oleds. Always use Black images/live wallpapers & keep brightness low to decrease chances of Burn-in.
There's no fixing it other than replacing the Oled Screen. That's is one of the major flaw of Oled screens unlike LCD Panels you don't have to worry about Burn-in.
