Tarek, 04 Nov 2021But realme 8 has a good software and stable performanceThat depends on the unit you are getting , nowadays not all are performing as mentioned because of quality issues. This applies to all brands.

When I first ordered this phone, I had some pretty mixed feelings. But now after really getting a feel of the phone, I can confidently say it absolutely BLEW me away!
This is my first ever Xiaomi phone and after using my fair share of Pixels and iPhones, I was expecting MIUI to be awful after all the negative experiences I read, with many saying the root and install a custom ROM. But I actually
really like it! The OS is very customizable with the theme store, far more than stock/iOS, I use OxygenOS icons with a mix of stock system UI and it looks super clean. There is so many hidden features that I feel are over looked by many like second space, floating windows, one handed mode etc. I find myself using the IR blaster way more than I thought, I wish every phone had one! The stock camera app has many fun features as well, like vlog mode, dual recording, an editing tool that allows you to change the background from day to night AND a magic eraser that can remove people from a photo like on the new Pixel 6. It is a very RAM hungry OS, using about 4-5gb of ram from just using the web, so I would recommend getting the 8gb version.
The performance is top notch without a doubt: it can run the most demanding games on their highest graphics without getting crazy hot, even the infamous Genshin (though, like with any phone, I recommend to tune it down a bit as it does get hot for long sessions of Genshin). UFS 3.1 storage is blazing fast, up to par with my brother's iPhone 12 pro in terms of speed which is super fast in its own right.
The IPS LCD is gorgeous, one of the best I've used, especially when set to 'standard' it gives that vibrant look that many OLED screens have. But unlike the OLED screens it doesn't have an annoying colored tint when tilted at an angle like the purple tint on my Pixel 3a/Green tint on my brother's iPhone.
This is a phone that makes the least amount of compromises out of any midrange phone and the places where it does compromise are all the least concerning IMO. No 5g: barely available where I live. LCD instead of OLED: screen is so good it could be mistaken for an OLED but also has the upsides of a less degradation and no colored tint. Bulky: as someone with big hands this is not a big problem for me, there is a one handed mode if you want to use the phone one handed as well.
Now, forget this is a midrange phone, find another phone that has: A headphone jack, expandable memory, 800 series Snapdragon chipset, IR blaster, stereo speakers, 120 Hz HDR, IP53+ rating (Spoiler: You won't find one).
I got all this for a measly small asking price of £179 for the 8/256gb variant and I couldn't be happier.
Tl;dr: This is a phone that makes little compromises, and the few places it does are the ones that don't bother me (and maybe most people)

Moreover, turn on 120Hz, and the phone will be perfectly smooth. Using the phone for a month now, don't have any issues. Display: tianma

Hello everyone
I have the phone and am very happy with the battery time. The problem I got last time was fingerprints on the side of the phone. It started to get hot and stopped working 3 week old mobile. I sent it for repair. Today I am waiting almost 4 weeks and we will see when I get it back.

I'm not playing on my phone so I will probably get realme 8 in 6gb or 8gb ram variant. I'm not gonna use all that performance from poco and realme is a better all rounder :) .
