Crazy, 12 Aug 2022Can someone tell me if theres a bad comment or bad news and... moreFirst, poco x4 gt is same as china version redmi note 11t pro.As I know in china version, this phone have bad comments, they say this phone is very heat when playing game and watching video, and battery is run out fast, even it has 5080 battery, u will fell like it has around 4500 battery only, but it's ok. They also say this phone will lagging sometimes, and it has many MIUI bugs of course.
However, i think it's acceptable at this price.If u insist want dimensity 8100, u can consider realme gt neo3, or wait the redmi k50 come to global.

But don't all phones these days have that weird aspect ratio? I haven't seen any new phone with 16:9 aspect ratio which is format most videos are shot.

Camera photos are very good. At night regular. Videos at 1080p are good.
The only downside is the aspect ratio. On youtube/streaming there is black bars on sides

It's really not fair that literally half of the EU has access to this device, and half doesn't.

It's a very good mobile, you get a lot of "bang for the buck", specially if you get it on an Early Bird offer.

When is this phone going to release globally? It's only available in some EU countries, not in all. Asked official Xiaomi distributer for the area and they have no idea.

I don't know why it's there... Maybe Xiaomi will fill the empty shell with some useful code in some future upgrade... I don't know, just guessing.

It's gonna take years before someone on XDA devs will post that specific models radio configuration to give it all same bands as global. Custom ROM won't magically give it new bands.

It doesn't support some 3G, 4G and 5G bands that are important in Europe and other regions, which means weaker or no signal in some places where the Poco X4 GT will have full signal. Also, the lowest version has 6 GB of ram, instead of X4 GT, which starts from 8 GB. So, that lower price can be tricky. And, although it's not the case with these phones, buying a phone which is exclusively made for the Asian market can also mean no NFC. If you're ok with this compromises, buy it,, but it's not the exact same phone.
P.S.: and don't forget the most important issue: no Google play services. If your get one with them, it's already been manipulated by the seller. And if you plan to add them yourself, you'll have to unlock the bootoader. Too much hassle just for saving a few bucks

Exact same phone as the Redmi Note 11T Pro. The Redmi can be picked up cheaper for the same specs as the Poco X4 GT.

Besides the GT Neo 3's price is near double the X4 GT. By that point, you're better of waiting for a Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 phone with better thermals than both.

This phone has a gimped 8100 that scores less than 900 in single core geekbench, compared to the GT neo 3 , which scores 950 with the same chipset. Even in Antutu, the scores are lower than the gt neo 3.
Gpu performance is gimped as well.
Apparently Xiaomi is undervolting the SOC, making it 15 % slower.
Don't go by the specs alone. Not all 8100 phones are the same.
To be fair, the Oneplus 10r performs even worse with 880 in GB single thread. Oneplus also gimp their Dimensity 1200 (nord 2) and 8100 (10r) phones to avoid making their overpriced 888 look better in benchmarks and justify the premium.
