The main issue is youre stuck with the inconvenience of file transfer across different devices. Now instead of just popping an sdcard to a reader straight to the pc, you're stuck with having an intermediary software when transferring whic could affect transfer speed. Not to mention that its reliant on a wire, and we all know how durable those are nowadays.
Another issue would be storage sharing with apps. Sure, 256gb is large compared to the last years, but with the ever expanding bloating of apps(especially games) its not very future proof, and eventually its going to hit the max limit. Also consider the fact that this phone records at 4k, which easily fills the storage quickly if you're not aware of it.
Finally, if this phone breaks and fails to boot for whatever reason, thats a gigantic amount of files going bye bye. Its much more of a risk than having an external sdcard.

rohit, 17 May 2023Too much network fluctuation even call not connect due to this No issue on my end with connection. I'd even say modem inside the phone is one of the best. Signal is constant and call quality is really good. Wi-Fi is great; I have signal where other phone lose it.

Got on. Battery is quite bad for a new phone. I get to 30% by like 6pm on mild usage. Even my old phone is capable of this. Thinking about returning it

jefrijusoh , 12 May 2023when environment heat... phone got heat too... normal or notAll phones heat up during summer and are cold in winter. No matter if you what cooling solution it has, all phones heat up. I personally, never saw this phone go above 40°C. Maximum I got was 36°C and that's normal. I think normal temperature is up to 43°C.

it a bit expensive, 778G still UFS 3.0 and 3.1 buts xiaomi just installed ufs 2.2
camera doesnt has OIS
the last only IP53, this will be better if IP54

It ... moreno its not i baught poco x3 pro a year ago and recently the phone broke, poco x3 pro is the worst phone i ever baught, slow, bad camera, very hard to keep it safe from scratchs, i brang it to the repair shop and it asked me almost same ammount of money as i baught the phone brand new, turns out the motherboard corrupted not to mention my phone had heating issues

if x5 pro get full upgrade, the price will more expensive than x3 pro
but i think xiaomi still the best in mid phone class with this poco x5 pro

Upgrades:
-better camera setup
-better screen
-have 5G
Downgrades:
-chipset
Actually, Poco X5 Pro preforms very well like Poco X3 Pro but Poco X3 Pro use rebadge SD855+ chipset and put as SD860. SD860 is quite dated and already more than 2 years old but still preforms well like SD778G. Poco X3 Pro is now entering it's final year and no more OS updates (Android 13). Instead, you'll get security updates for another year until 2024. But you'll still get MIUI 15 based on Android 13 when they launched MIUI 15 by end of this year.
If you get Poco X5 Pro now, you'll get Android 13 later this year with MIUI 14 and Android 14 as last update for that phone. Alongside with MIUI 15 and MIUI 16 based on Android 14.
