I bought this phone just a day ago,I'm glad I spent my money on this and have some left instead of buying the 11t pro or the rn 12 pro plus, phone is working smooth with gaming even on the best settings, good 120hz,good camera quality, decent selfies, battery life isn't the best but the 67watt charger makes up for it,I got the 8/256 for around 302€ which is maybe 320$
bucks.Very good buy!

And i'm almost certain that 99% of the time they will put cases on their phone or never leave it in the back pocket or something.
If the X5 pro has EIS at 1080p modes (30-60fps) then I'm up for it. But is it optimised and stable EIS without the "warping" or "wobbly" effect that you see in most phones in this category?

don't buy indian version of xiaomi phones. india added tarrifs on chinese imports so they have to make phone with low quality indian components there. that's why poco's are breaking down in india and not in the rest of the world. buy global version instead!

Anon, 31 Jul 2023Does poco x5 pro 5g have any motherboard issues again?Global version never had issues with motherboard, only Indian version. Buy global version of Poco phones somewhere and you don't have to worry. They don't have any issues.

Have you seen the video on YT where the guy snaps the X5-P in half? I know it's an extreme scenario, but that just shows you where they cut corners.

When talking about the selfie camera which one has a wider FOV, better skin tones, has good white balance and one that can take harsh lighting outside with better dynamic range...the Redmi Note 12 pro or the Poco X5 Pro?
Would it be safe to say Redmi phones get better priority with updates than a Poco phone?

What I find funny about this poco is in their advert on amazon it says "When you go out after dark or in low light, the 1920Hz PWM protects your eyes from the harmful effects of flicker" .
So their admitting that oled's have been damaging our eyes all these years.
I knew this blood poring from my eyeballs wasn't normal.

The F5 reviews are so-so w/ uninspiring Omnivision sensors. Hence i am going for either the X5 Pro or the Note 12 Pro (not the Plus version). I would not mind if the main cam does not have OIS but as long as there is good EIS on all modes. And accurate skin tones, good dynamic range, good white balance, faster focusing among others.

As a long time Redmi N10 pro user, I had high hopes for the Redmi Note-12 Pro, but got disappointed when X decided on the Mediatek chip. The X5Pro seemed like a great upgrade, but it has a camera with No OIS and the handset is rather weak in construction/design. The Poco F5 sells for almost $600- Cdn so I got the F4 which has a flagship SOC, OIS Camera, strong build, Has built in AI assistance, Has good battery life, Awesome image processing thanks to Qualcomm, It has Gorilla glass on both sides, Charges up very quickly and it costs almost $200- less than the F5 here.
WalMart had it on sale last week for $399- Cdn for the 256/8 variant, which is about $300 USD.

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2023There are no Indian components. They import components from... moreThere are. India introduced huge tariffs to components imported from China. That's why Xiaomi phones for Indian market are 100% made in India, and why Xiaomi likes to bragg about it.

It's cheaper from Xiaomi to use components made in India than to import materials from China. That's why indian versions break so much and suffer from various problems, while chinese and global variants don't.

Indian variants are notorious for their problems with motherboards while global versions never had that issue.

If I was looking for a midrange phone thinking about their SoC w/ good Display (quality & colour), great performance, great speakers sound (clarity & loudness) and main & selfie camera (colour accuracy, dynamic range, low light, white balance) would you go for the Poco F5, Poco X5 Pro or a Redmi Note 12 Pro? or shall i just keep my OnePlus 10T?

Great mid range phone, nothing else to say. Lighter than Nothing Phone 1 !!

heat issue.. very bad ...nothing else to say

Anonymous, 23 May 2023Thats not the main issue tho. The main issue is youre stuck... moreThey always use huge internal reason for justification to remove microsd, in reality they just didnt want rnd for nand QLC going to waste, and wanted user using their payed cloud service which no everyone want to used it on long term. So mobile phone segment is a sweet spot for vendor to bragging around, and is have a loooot fanboy to defend them as an modern innovation.

And another justification is internal is more faster than microsd, in reality is just controller and slc cache doing a great job to hiding a big lie on it. When slc cache is already full, controller is going crazy to kept the performance and make more heat, more faster more heat, so newer ufs version is just soooo useless, is just make durability is more lower than older model. Im pretty sure 128 GB+ all of them are using qlc in disguise as tlc 4d nand or whatever. No wonder recently a lot phone dead case is come from weak nand, cpu, solder or the heat problem to make them dead.

Cloud service is an alternative, not replacement, you need decent connection, and more money for passive storage.
Another wireless connection like wifi, you need decent infrastructure and is not cheap to prepare them, and is not flexible as microsd. Even your router is 1 gigabit is still not stable, fast, a lot inteference and have potential security risk.

No alternative method can be replace microsd on flexible and easy to use.
