I was planning to buy for my daughter but the nightmare i have with redmi phone especially redmi9t still haunting me. Anybody use it can give any honest opinion. Thanks. Btw the phone spec is the best compare to other phone brand with same price tag

This is Xiaomi's response to Realme C55.
Both suck. Why care about high ram when the CPU is garbage, and what's the point of high super slow storage with less lifespan?
I don't get the idea behind these models. Maybe for someone who really doesn't care, or just likes to brag about numbers?

This phone is good, but if it was have UFS 2.1, Dedicated SIM card slot & MediaTek Helio G96, this phone were a best under 20K in Bangladesh.

DjFitted254, 04 Jul 2023Until redmi 9 this series of phones were awesome but after ... moreI agree, in Indian market redmi 8 has all the sensors and features, but as redmi 9 came, IR Blaster went missing, compass went missing, Split Screen & recent apps locking went missing, there is still a workaround, but it's a hassle to find that specific app in the list of 700 one to turn the lock toggle on. I use a macro to make phone vibrate on desired app name display while scrolling through the list, it does help.. still nothing like before... MIUI went even more crappy & reboot issues & etc. they made everything worse for them, they give sensors things in midrange, in budget/entry level, even expecting a compass is not an option ... I don't know about game turbo & other features, as I didn't use redmi 8..
but after buying redmi 9, I feel like I made a wrong choice... I bought 9, because Redmi 8 wasn't in stock at that time!
