Kinda meh. Redmi 9 was the last time the Redmi base model had major improvements. It's been 3 years.

well, it seems like they just rebranded redmi 10 from 2021 and called it a new generation. even redmi 10c has better soc than this.

But this is a mid duplicate of ... moreYeah, sure, but Redmi 9 is at least 3 years old now and has limitations from the technology used from that time. We saw A LOT of improvement in all areas in just 3 years. It's sad that the entry midrange segment has become a place for brands to keep releasing the same phone and changing just one or two things.
The only thing I'm happy to see on Redmi 12 is the ultrawide camera, which will make it shines a bit more in comparison to almost all other phone models in the same category that are removing it.
