Kavkaz, 06 Jun 2024g80 aint that bad if you dont update.A22 still runs smooth ... moreMy Redmi 9 (G80) is updated to Android 12 with MIUI13 and it runs fine, no noticeable lag or anything, but I was looking forward to see, what Redmi 13 will offer, since it's my (lucky) number and I thought it would be updated quite a bit since Redmi 9. To my disappointment, sadly, found out that G80 and G91 are practically the same (frequencies and gpu), so to upgrade from Redmi 9 to Redmi 13 is just pointless (there might be exception with 5G model, we'll see). And yes, there are other models with number 13, but they're either too expensive or have specs that I don't like.

Those that still saying this phone is a downgrade, not worth, 2024 don't has this and that, I would admit for similar low pricing, Xiaomi entry level smartphone is no longer competitive. For more competitive priced smartphone, look for Infinix, but that might not saying Xiaomi is not competitive, I would say for starter, pay a little bit more for Redmi Note series, or POCO X series. Or look for iQoo. Don't try to compare entry level smartphone with midrange or flagship, there is no promise of incremental upgrade or improvement to speak about for new replacement.

At RM700, I expect the specs to be at least at this level as follows:
Dimensity 6100+(Helio G99+5G)
8GB/256GB UFS 2.2
How hard is it for Xiaomi to put these 2 things inside RM700 body?

12nm chipset running at 2.0 + eMMC 5.1
Battery endurance is definitely not Xiaomi's top priority on this phone and this phone gonna feel laggy af and price is getting expensive. Bruh... Good luck using it. This kind of specs even my grandpa feels irritated using it, no kidding.

Redmi makes useless models, Why Redmi 13? Better Redmi 13C or Poco C65, even Redmi Note 13 4G is worth more.
