Xiaomi Redmi 13 5G hands-on review
Conclusion
The Redmi 13 5G is priced at INR 13,499 ($162) for the 6GB model and INR 14,999 ($180) for the 8GB model.
For the price, you get a device with good design and build quality, a good-quality display, decent performance, and surprisingly good still camera performance. Compared to the standard model, the 5G model feels significantly better in several areas.
However, some drawbacks remain, such as the dim display, unusable videos, single loudspeaker, and software that is full of ads, bloatware, and notification spam.
But for the price, the pros largely outweigh the cons, making this a good purchase overall in this class.
Pros
- Good design and build quality
- Good display quality with 120Hz refresh rate
- Decent performance for its price class
- Good still camera performance
Cons
- Display washes out under the sun
- Single loudspeaker
- Unusable videos due to lack of stabilization
- Software crammed with ads, bloatware, and notification spam
