I have been using this phone from Nov'14. I really like the build quality of the phone. I have owned Huawei U8800 pro, Lenovo P770 previously. Redmi 1s is the only phone I did not take to a service center for issues.
Recently I bought Meizu M2, but unfortunately the glass over the screen broke in a fall. Now again using my Redmi after a gap of 20 days. After MIUI 7 update its even better. There is occasional lag in some apps, but it is not to a disturbing level.
I really appreciate xiaomi as they just did not neglect the old devices for updates. Even if I had to take it to a service center for some issue, their service centers are better than other brands as they have many exclusive service centers. For the price I paid I couldn't have had better phone.

i love this phone, from last 1.5 year i am using this mobile there is no technical problem with this phone.
only problem is overheating if we are playing continuously. I think all smart phones have same problem.

Redmi 1s is one of the best phones I have.. I'm using it for the past 2.5 years
Plus:
best camera
best appearance
Minus:
Our voice is very shaky during calls and its breaking always..
phone generates heat within 1/2 n hour of continuous usage.
For 1 yr usage it is a very good phone..
worth the price.
But may not be suitable for full time callers and gamers.

One of the worst mobile. atlest restart 7-9times per day. Each and every time if you on the wifi/mobile data, it will restart. And will take ~10min to come back to its own setup.

Hiii I use phone this phone from pass 1 year it's but after updating 7.1.1.0 screen go black when someone call or while receiving a call

see i have been using this phone for a long time. i found that this phone worked properly for 3-4 months but after that for me it was the worst phone ever.if you are a gaming person never buy this it hangs a lot while playing games like asphalt 8.

It rocks like a rock. Facebook, BBM, Path, Hangout, Whatsapp, Line, Instagram etc all are on, and 1S still working properly. Don't know how this 1 GB RAM phone can handle this, must be something to do with good RAM management from MIUI.

i have been using this phone for 1 1/5 year.it's running lolliop 5.1 with xcelerate.it is smooth.the screen is very strong.it drops several times.the sceen is really strong.i'm using every day skype,viber,calendar,radio,gps,web,email..etc at the end of day remain an amount of battery.has good camera.under the sun, can't see as i wis,but in this price,is the leader
