having a weird problem. I wanted to lock some apps like gallery , explorer etc .So from settings>security>privacy protection I have enabled lock pattern for those specific apps.
its working fine for the first time only..when ever I am opening them second time they are getting opened normally, no pass pattern promting. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS PROB?

AnonD-304476, 24 Sep 2014Dude no matter what you say V37 isn't stable for our Phones... moreit is stable and I'm using it buddy.. only problem i experienced is google services (maps, chrome, google +, play store, google search) are not working after updating but i solved it.
just install google installer from mi market and open it

I'm back to V36 and happy...V37 crashed everything on My phone...:D

Redmi 1s has the best value hardware, combined with less than optimum software. MIUI for 1s is pretty, but still too buggy, ram hungry, cpu cycle intensive at the moment. It implements very aggresive task killer that kill all processes indiscriminately, even after you have told it not to kill specific apps. One solution is to use other launcher like nova, which won't kill apps that you have marked as not to be killed when the RAM is low (slide down the app's icon in task manager until showing a lock symbol). Other glaring problem with the stock ROM is the proximity sensor that is not calibrated correctly (fixable by recalibration via *#*#6484#*#*), and camera that can only save to the internal memory. Xiaomi is a new company with the usual of growing pain, but it also shows a lot of promising future. If you like to tinker with your phone, redmi 1s is for you. If you are not very technical kind, this phone probably is not yet ready for you. Wait for a few months until they iron out most of the critical glitches in the OS.
