omaszgon, 12 Nov 2021Please, what is the advantage of the IPS over AMOLED display? Why LCD over OLED you asked? First, they're CHEAPER to produce. Secondly, in terms of AGING they last a little bit longer compare to OLED screen. Third, you don't have much issue like BURN-IN screen or BLACK CRUSH that can affect viewing experience mostly can be happen in OLED type. Finally, IPS LCD has produce better color accuracy over the year compared to standard LCD.

Finally lowest end phones start getting 90Hz screens. I guess in 12 month 60Hz will be completely gone in every new phone and 120Hz will become mainstream except maybe for sub $100 models.
