Bought it at christmas... Definetly good phone.. Better than rivals like j2, yreka, yuphobia, oppo that i saw.
Really liked the miui layout and features
PROBS TOO:-
IT SAYS 16 GB INTERNAL but only 7 gb internal storage for user.. Whats happened to other 9 gb?

Amazing phone...you would have to pay double the amount if you want same features in a Samsung mobile

Also my friend who has note3 lite phone complains about poor battery backup nd camera. Consider buying redmi 3s prime as you'll get fingerprint scanner,3gb ram nd 32gb internal memory for just 2000rs more .

for those who have doubts with the finger print scanner, this model has two variants
Redmi 3s (no fingerprint scanner , 2 GB ram , 16 GBinternal storage) and Redmi 3s Prime (has fingerprint scanner ,3GB ram, 32 GB internal storage)
i am using redmi 3s and had camera problem ....if you open camera app in dark it will say "cannot connect camera" and phone will freeze for sometime..however the camera worked fine in bright location...this is due to software problem in miui7....then i upgraded to miui8 , now the problem is solved
note:- miui8 update is about 630mb so download using wifi or with suitable 3g net pack.
After downloading , the upgradation process will take around 20 minutes .DO NOT REBOOT YOUR PHONE DURING THIS TIME !!! wait with patience and problem will be solved.
Jio Volte is supported even after miui 8 upgrade , do not believe rumours

AJAY , 03 Jan 2017OK I will try. Thanks Thanks VP for your kind advice, I have changed the default settings of the camera from 16:9 to 4:3 now I am getting photos of 13 MP, pics are now rich in tone but still it sucks in indoor.

viki, 04 Jan 2017no.. redmi 3s is not a fingerprint scanner phone.. if you w... moreMy(and some of my friends) 3s has FP scanner, i think the one with with FP is a china stock(as gsmarena said''Available in China with a fingerprint sensor''), but it works as good as the non FP one(works with my carrier(Three) and i think other carrier as well in Indonesia)

There are apparently two versions of Redmi 3S (non-prime) with 2GB/16GB - one has the fingerprint scanner the other one does not. I bought Redmi 3S 2GB//16GB and it has fingerprint scanner on the back.

no.. redmi 3s is not a fingerprint scanner phone.. if you want to go for a finger print scanner phone- go for redmi 3s prime or redmi note3.

please do not buy very very Poor signal reception and frequent in-call audio drops indoor, it is waste of money, some time people say they cannot reach you if you see your mobile you have signal you cannot even make out going call until you restart your phone
