There is no doubt that this is the best phone available under 10k right now.
However, there are some minor deficiencies in the phone, that are expected to be resolved by Redmi 4:
1. Redmi 3S has a 5.0" 720p panel. Redmi 4 is expected to bring 1080p panel at the same size, resulting in a much higher pixel density, which would be especially beneficial if you plan to use VR.
2. The processor is relatively weak, especially in single-threaded applications, and is built on the older 28nm process, while Redmi 4 is rumored to use Snapdragon 625, which would be around 40% faster, and is built on the newer and power-efficient 14nm process.
3. Low-light photography is slightly underwhelming, and Redmi 4 should bring at least an incremental upgrade if not a large improvement.
But going by Xiaomi's recent track record, Redmi 4 won't be available in India till at least year-end (or maybe even next year), so if you could wait till that time, it would be worth the wait. But if you are in a hurry to upgrade then you can't go wrong with Redmi 3S either.
